Elliot Page states in his post that he loves to be a trans and a queer. The more he holds himself close and fully embraces who he is, the more Elliot dreams, the more he thrives. Nick Adams, who is the GLAAD ‘s Director of Transgender Media said that Elliot Page had given people fantastic characters on-screen and had been an outspoken advocate for all LGBTQ people.
Elliot Page broke out from his native Canada in 2005 with the revenge thriller Hard Candy. In 2007, he starred in Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman’s landmark indie Juno, for which Page received an Academy Award nomination.

Before transition, Elliot Page was one of the most visible out gay actors in Hollywood. The recent announcement further enriches his legacy and surely adds him to a small but steadily growing number of out trans stars and creators in Hollywood.
