Sir Elton John Lent an Ear to Lewis Capaldi

Once Lewis Capaldi reached out to Sir Elton John for assistance, the music legend obliged. Sir Elton admitted that listening to Capaldi’s hit single “Someone You Loved” enticed him to listen to the rest of the tunes and to share his honest opinion. Elton shared that the young musician had apprehensions about the second album he made and that it’s perfectly normal to feel that way. Sir Elton explained how Capaldi came over to play the new songs for him and – in his words, it’s a “no-brainer.”

Sir Elton’s Concerns About the Top Charts

The 75-year-old music veteran shared his concerns over people like himself keeping new artists off the charts. So many iconic performers that have been in the industry for a long time continue to hold the top 20 spots for hit singles and albums. Sir Elton noticed that new performers fight to get into the charts where they stay for a week before dropping to a much lower number. He believes that there are many good albums deserving of high listings in the chart, and he named performers like Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, and Juanita Euka.

Praising New Music Makers

The music legend is known for hits like “Rocket Man” and “Tiny Dancer” and said that there are many young female musicians rocking out right now and making incredible music. He praised Dua Lipa particularly, also mentioning performers like Nova Twins, Let’s Eat Grandma, Wet Leg, Haim, and The Linda Lindas. He believes that their work comes from pure joy and innocence – to be a breath of fresh air is what music is actually about!

The article didn’t make the case that a technologically advanced civilization existed before humans but instead posed the intriguing hypothetical question of whether it would be possible to discover “geological fingerprints” of a long-gone civilization that vanished millions of years ago.

In the paper, one of the key questions was assessing how frequently an industrial civilization could evolve (provided that life has arisen and that some species are intelligent), which is one of the key questions in determining the possibility of discovering such a civilization.
