House of The Dragon
We have had a big Game of Thrones show-shaped hole in our hearts since the finale, ‘The Iron Throne’ back in May 2019. However, the feeling of loss didn’t last long when we found out that there were plenty of spin-off shows in the pipeline. The first of these, called ‘House of the Dragon,’ was ordered by HBO for a ten-episode series back in 2019. Inspired by George R. R. Martin’s novel, ‘Fire & Blood,’ the focus is on the origins of House Targaryen and spans plenty of decades and monarchs.
What Can We Expect?
The original book by Martin, as mentioned, covers quite a long span of time and plenty of different monarchs. It seems unlikely that ten episodes will even be able to scratch the surface of the lengthy book, so what can we expect? It remains unclear which part of the House Targaryen dynasty the series will focus on, but we do know that we’re unlikely to see any of the characters that made the original Game of Thrones show such a hit.

On Target
What we do know, however, is that the Game of Thrones prequel show is on track and not been slowed by some of the issues facing the industry at the moment. The release date is set for some time in 2022, which means that we don’t have too long to wait at all.
We can’t wait for more details to be released, including what time span we can expect from House of The Dragon. For now, we’ll just go back to watching the original show we guess…
